Hoshiarpur:- Rajya Sabha member from Punjab, Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal, while elaborating in detail inside the Rajya Sabha on the unique service rendered by Bhai Ghanhaiya Ji in the battlefield at Sri Anandpur Sahib, strongly emphasized that 20th September dedicated to Bhai Ghanhaiya Ji be celebrated as Human Service Day at the national level and that special efforts be made by the government to take these great services to the people.
Bhai Ghanhaiya Mission Punjab appreciated this step of Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal and while thanking him said that the great services of Bhai Ghanhaiya Ji have already been appreciated by the International Red Cross Society Geneva and the Indian Red Cross Society and information regarding Bhai Ghanhaiya Ji's dedication towards humanity has also been published on the website, which in our rich cultural heritage reflects the concept of service to humanity and universal brotherhood, impartiality and world peace.
Prof. Bahadur Singh Sunet, who has been associated with research work for a long time on the basic principles of the International Red Cross in the context of the great services of Bhai Ghanhaiya Ji and the International Humanitarian Law formed regarding the care of the wounded during wars, said that for the last almost 30 years efforts have been made to take the great services of Bhai Ghanhaiya Ji to the international level and this is the first time that a great personality has raised his voice in Parliament regarding the services of Bhai Ghanhaiya Ji.
Similarly, he informed that Sant Seechewal Ji, by writing a letter to the Chief Minister of Punjab, demanded that the Punjab Government organize a state-level function on the occasion of Bhai Ghanhaiya Ji Human Service Sankalp Day and that special programs be organized in universities, colleges and schools to make the young generation aware of the great services of Bhai Ghanhaiya Ji so that the young generation can also come forward to make their valuable contribution for human values, service to the needy and universal brotherhood.
He said that Rajya Sabha member Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal has created golden history by raising this voice in the Rajya Sabha.
