Chandigarh, June 9:- Speakers, Deputy Speakers and Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha from various states participated in the technical session of the "Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) India Region Zone-II (North Zone) Conference" organized by the Haryana Vidhan Sabha in Chandigarh. All the speakers discussed in detail the role of the conscious society and legislators in understanding the future challenges and the goal of "Developed India-2047" and expressed their views.
On this occasion, Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha Mr. Harivansh, Speaker of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha Mr. Harvinder Kalyan and Deputy Speaker Dr. Krishan Lal Midha, besides Speakers of various states and several members of the Vidhan Sabha were present.
Speaker of the Vidhan Sabha, Shri Harvinder Kalyan, while welcoming all the delegates, said that he hoped that all of them would gain some new experience from this technical session and play their important role in the development of the country with determination.
On this occasion, Speaker of the Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha, Shri Narendra Tomar, said that the discussions in this conference organized by the Haryana Vidhan Sabha would yield some nectar-like results which would prove to be a milestone in the vision of "Developed India-2047". He described the unity in diversity of India as the beauty of the country and said that we are all working together for the strengthening of democracy. That is why today India is counted among the leading countries of the world.
Shri Tomar said that India has been showing the direction to the world in the past too. Our ancestors faced difficulties, then we succeeded in celebrating the Independence Day. Now preparations are underway to celebrate the centenary year. He said that it is our duty to give a prosperous and secure India to the coming generation. He appealed that to fulfill the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Vision 2047, it is necessary for everyone to be economically as well as socially and civically aware.
Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani appreciated the choice of the topic "Aware Society and Role of MLAs in Understanding Future Challenges and the Goal of 'Developed India-2047'" by the Haryana Legislative Assembly Speaker. He said that the complete development of the country will happen only when social harmony, environment, technology and parliamentary democracy are also advanced in the society. He said that the responsibility of the public does not end when an MLA is elected, but the policy makers also have to cooperate in making development-oriented policies. He said that everyone has to move forward with the spirit of "Country First". He motivated all the MLAs to stay updated with the knowledge of AI technology.
Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Speaker Mr. Abdul Rahim Rather said that today India is moving forward like a global leader in terms of development, we have to accelerate this pace further so that the citizens of the country can become prosperous and empowered. He encouraged the young MLAs to pay attention to research as well as current technology.
Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker Mr. Satish Mahana, while pointing out to the MLAs in his speech, said that they have been elected for five years in the elections, but how to become an MLA again next time? We will have to think about this and do public welfare work. He expressed happiness that now the public has also started talking about economics, which is a positive sign for a progressive country. He told all the public representatives to maintain their credibility so that the people of their area can express their problems without any hesitation.
