Hansi:– Under the able guidance of Municipal Commissioner and Additional Deputy Commissioner Lakshit Sareen, the Municipal Council's special cleanliness campaign is continuously gaining momentum with the aim of making Hansi city clean, beautiful and environment-friendly. In this sequence, on Thursday, a special extensive cleanliness campaign was conducted in Ward No. 2, 6, 11, 18 and 25. Under the campaign, sanitation workers reached various areas since morning and worked to strengthen the cleanliness system.
During the campaign, intensive cleaning of main roads, streets, public places, parks and market areas of the wards was done and garbage was lifted. Drains were specially cleaned to streamline the drainage system and timely and scientific disposal of collected waste was ensured. Wherever felt necessary, additional sanitation workers and machinery were also deployed, so that the level of cleanliness in every area could be improved.
Municipal Commissioner and Additional Deputy Commissioner Lakshit Sareen said that building a clean and beautiful city is not possible only with the efforts of the Municipal Council, but active participation of every citizen is necessary for it. He appealed to the city residents to throw garbage only at designated places, keep wet and dry waste separately and avoid spreading dirt at public places. He said that only through public awareness and public cooperation towards cleanliness, Hansi can be included among the cleanest and most beautiful cities of the state.
He said that special cleanliness campaigns are being conducted regularly in every ward by the Municipal Council. The campaign is being continuously monitored and officers have been instructed that no negligence should be done in the cleanliness system anywhere. Complaints of citizens are also being resolved on priority basis.
He appealed to the city residents to make cleanliness their daily habit and contribute significantly in making the city clean, healthy and beautiful by participating in the campaigns being run by the Municipal Council. He expressed confidence that with the joint efforts of the administration and the general public, Hansi will establish a new identity in the field of cleanliness.
