Chandigarh, August 20:- The Haryana government is moving fast towards developing the historical and religious places of the state from the perspective of tourism and giving them a new identity. Under this series, the Public Works Department (Buildings and Roads) has given administrative approval of Rs. 24 crore 16 lakh 4 thousand for developing Adi Badri and Lohgarh-Bhagwanpur in Yamunanagar district as a tourism hub.
The Public Works and Public Health Engineering Minister, Mr. Ranbir Gangwa said that considering the historical, religious and cultural importance of Adi Badri and Lohgarh-Bhagwanpur area, expansion of tourism facilities here is among the government's initiatives. The estimate that was prepared to complete the pending works of this project has been approved.
He said that the objective of the Public Works Department is not only to carry out construction works but also to ensure better facilities and infrastructure access to the important heritage and tourist places of the state. With the overall development of Adi Badri and Lohgarh-Bhagwanpur, the pilgrims and tourists coming here will get better facilities and the tourism potential of the region will get a new impetus.
Minister Shri Ranbir Gangwa said that the pending works under this project will be completed as per the prescribed parameters. He said that the government is trying to boost tourism by creating strong infrastructure in areas of religious and historical importance and also create new opportunities for employment and economic activities at the local level.
He said that the planned development of such important places will continue continuously to bring the rich history, culture and heritage of Haryana to the tourists from home and abroad.
