Chandigarh, September 3:- Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam is committed to reliable, good voltage and uninterrupted power supply to the consumers. To achieve the goal of 'Complete Consumer Satisfaction', the power corporation has started several ambitious programs so that the problems of the consumers can be resolved expeditiously.
Giving the above information, the spokesperson of the power corporation said that as per Regulation 2.8.2, the Zonal Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum will hear complaints related to financial disputes of an amount exceeding Rs. 1 lakh and up to Rs. 3 lakh in each case. Redressal of consumer complaints of districts falling under Panchkula zone i.e. Kurukshetra, Ambala, Panchkula, Kaithal and Yamunanagar Consumer problems will be resolved at Zonal Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum, Panchkula on 07, 14, 21 and 28 September.
He informed that wrong bills, electricity tariff related matters, meter security related matters, damaged meters related matters, voltage related matters of consumers of districts falling under Panchkula zone will be resolved. During this, cases of electricity theft, misuse of electricity and fatal-non-fatal accidents etc. will not be considered. Before filing a complaint related to financial disputes in the forum for the settlement of any dispute between the consumer and the Corporation, the consumer shall deposit the claimed amount for each month calculated on the basis of the average electricity charge paid by the consumer during the last six months or an amount equal to the electricity charge payable by him, whichever is less.
In the meantime, the consumer shall certify that the matter is not pending before any court, authority or forum as matters pending in the court or forum will not be considered during the meeting.
