Hoshiarpur- In a press note issued by former Cabinet Minister and senior BJP leader Tikshan Sood, it was stated that commission agents working in mandis had a long-standing demand that their commission, which was fixed decades ago, should be increased, as their expenses have risen significantly over this period.
The Modi Government, accepting their demand, has increased the commission of arhtiyas from ?46 per quintal to ?50.70 per quintal. With this increase of approximately 10% in commission, a wave of happiness has spread among the arhtiya community across the country. He said that this decision of the Modi Government has further strengthened the agricultural system.
On this occasion, along with Mr. Sood, BJP leaders Vijay Pathania (former BJP and District President), Satish Bawa (District BJP Vice President), Yashpal Sharma, and Vijay Kumar Satipal were also present.
