Chandigarh: A rally of travelers from across the country, led by film actress and renowned travel blogger Arya Vora, departed from Sukhna Lake for Lahaul-Spiti as part of the "Drug De-addiction Campaign." Mayor Saurabh Joshi and renowned social worker Ramesh Goyal flagged off the rally.
Present on the occasion were Dr. Anish Garg, General Secretary of CORF, Traffic Inspector Rohtas Kumar, and Anil Singhal, CEO of KBD Company and organizer of the rally.
The Mayor stated that such awareness campaigns against drug abuse send a positive message to society and inspire youth in the right direction. He emphasized that drug abuse affects not only individuals but also the entire family and society, and collective efforts are essential.
The rally's objective is to raise awareness about the ill effects of drug abuse through the journey and to promote a healthy and positive lifestyle. Speakers expressed hope that such initiatives would instill new energy and a sense of social responsibility among the youth.
The travellers participating in the rally also pledged to spread the message of drug de-addiction in their respective areas and play an active role in giving a better direction to the society.
