Patiala 21st November:- As per the directions of Civil Surgeon Patiala Dr. Sanjay Kamra, under the Dry Day being celebrated every Friday to prevent dengue, the health department teams went door to door in the streets/mohallas and checked the standing water sources. During this, the dengue hotspot area of ??Patiala was checked. Nursing students and ASHA workers also participated on this occasion.
Civil Surgeon Dr. Sanjay Kamra said that all the government hospitals in Patiala have complete arrangements for the treatment of dengue and all the necessary medicines are available and the health department teams are working with full vigilance in all the areas. If anyone feels high fever, headache, pain behind the eyes and pain in the whole body, then they should go to the nearest health center and get tested for dengue.
District Epidemiologist Dr. Sumit Singh said that this time 665 dengue cases have been found in the entire Patiala district so far. He said that this week, 39741 houses across the district were checked for dengue larvae and the teams destroyed the larvae found at 190 places on the spot. He further said that so far, 1164611 houses have been surveyed by the health teams under the Dry Day campaign.
Out of which, the larvae found at 11145 places have been destroyed on the spot and the concerned families have been made aware about future prevention. He said that to avoid mosquitoes that spread dengue fever, the netted windows and doors should be kept closed during the day, mosquito repellents such as All-Out should be applied during the day.
