Haryana/Panchkula: Jananayak Janata Party Panchkula District President OP Sihag said that unemployment is at its peak in the state today and the state government is deliberately adopting a procrastinating approach in providing jobs to unemployed youth.
He said that in August 2025, the Haryana Public Service Commission initiated the recruitment process by inviting applications for 255 vacant posts of Assistant District Attorney in the government's Prosecution Department.
Sihag said that under this process, the date for the screening test was first fixed and the criteria for taking the paper preferred general science, history, geography, and basic mathematics over legal and law-related syllabus. This was completely wrong.
JJP District President OP Sihag said that some affected candidates challenged this recruitment process in the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Hearing the case, Justice Sandeep Moudgil, a learned judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, issued scathing remarks against the government and the Haryana Public Service Commission, canceling the entire recruitment process.
In his 36-page judgment, the judge stated that the criteria for conducting the screening test for the 255 vacant Assistant District Attorney positions set by the Haryana Public Service Commission were completely unfair, as the syllabus included very little legal content and a large syllabus for other subjects, such as general science, mathematics, history, and geography, which have little relevance to legal recruitment.
The court also believed that this could be a case of favoritism, which is completely against the grain of justice. Justice Sandeep Moudgil ordered the cancellation of the entire recruitment process and ordered that the recruitment process be restarted in accordance with the rules, ensuring complete transparency.
JJP District President Sihag said that today lakhs of posts are lying vacant in various departments of the state but the government has no intention of filling those posts as per rules. Today the state government is recruiting its favorite people through the back door through Kaushal Rozgar Nigam, ignoring merit and reservation, which is a betrayal of the promising and meritorious youth of the state.
JJP District President OP Sihag said that his party will soon submit a memorandum regarding this entire issue to the Chairman of Haryana Public Commission and will put forward its views regarding maintaining complete transparency in all types of recruitments and regularly filling the vacant posts in various departments across the state.
