Karnal: Haryana Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana attended the closing ceremony of the three-day India International Horticulture Expo and Rice and Grain Expo held in Karnal on Saturday as the chief guest. During the event, he inspected the stalls set up by various states, various departments, and various institutions and also received detailed information about modern agricultural equipment.
Speaking to reporters on this occasion, the Agriculture Minister said that this expo is a strong step towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi's goal of a developed India by 2047. With the rapid pace at which the government is working in the interest of farmers, India will become a developed nation before 2047. He said that the stalls set up by various states and institutions at the International Horticulture Expo are introducing farmers to the latest technology. The more information they gain, the more advanced and prosperous farmers will become.
Responding to questions about irregularities in paddy procurement, the Agriculture Minister clarified that the law is equal for all. Strictest legal action will be taken against those involved in any kind of irregularities or corruption.
Slamming the role of the opposition, the Agriculture Minister said that the opposition's behavior during the presence of foreign guests has been indecent. He said that this negative attitude of the opposition has caused great anger among the public.
CEO Pramod Kumar Siroha, Assistant Organizer Balindra Kumar, representatives of various departments and institutions, along with a large number of farmers were present on this occasion.
