Chandigarh, December 22:- Haryana Local Government, Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Mr. Vipul Goyal said that the present government is running a deep cleanliness campaign according to clusters so that a complete cleanliness system is created in the cities too. Apart from this, the work of garbage collection is being implemented properly.
Mr. Goyal was replying to a question asked in the autumn session of the Vidhan Sabha on Monday.
The Local Government, Revenue and Disaster Management Minister said that the state has received the President's Award in the field of cleanliness through the deep cleanliness campaign launched in the state. He said that the sanitation work has been allotted on PPP mode to the waste collection agencies by making Bhiwani, Sirsa, Sonipat, Panipat, Karnal etc. districts into clusters.
Through which the work of disposal of 6334 metric tons of waste generated in the 87 municipalities, 24 municipal councils and 11 municipal corporation areas of the state is being done every day. An investment of Rs 200 to 300 crore is also being made in this. This work is being done as per the guidelines of the central government.
The Local Government Minister said that even if any agency does not implement the sanitation work properly or as per the instructions of the government, strict action is also taken against them. Based on the irregularities found since last January 2023, the Sivan Municipality has also imposed a fine of Rs 3 lakh 29 thousand 200 on the agency.
