Chandigarh, April 15 - Haryana Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao said that the State Government is fully committed to improve access and quality of health services in the state. Taking an important decision in this direction, the Chief Minister has given approval to open some new Primary Health Centres, Sub-Health Centres and upgrade some other health institutions in rural areas.
The Health Minister said that administrative approval has been given to open a new Primary Health Centre in village Dhatrat in Jind district, its construction work will also be started soon. Similarly, the Chief Minister has given approval to upgrade the Sub-Health Centre in village Sakras in Nuh district to a Primary Health Centre.
He further informed that the Community Health Centre located in Ladwa town of Kurukshetra district has also been approved to be upgraded into a 50-bed civil hospital. Apart from these, in-principle approval has been given to open a new sub-health centre in village Bidharana of Jind district itself. The village panchayat has also sent a proposal to the government that until the new building of this sub-health centre is ready, the village panchayat will provide the building at its own level to start the said sub-health centre.
Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao said that with the start of the said health institutions, not only will the access to quality services in rural areas increase, but the pressure on big hospitals will also decrease. This will enable people to get timely treatment and further strengthen the health system of the state.
He also said that the state government is continuously making efforts to strengthen the water infrastructure, add new facilities and provide quality water services to every citizen.
