Sangrur, 3rd August:- Chairman of District Traders Commission Sangrur Shri Arun Jindal heartily thanked Chief Minister of Punjab Shri Bhagwant Singh Mann, National Convener of Aam Aadmi Party Shri Arvind Kejriwal, Incharge of Punjab Affairs Shri Manish Sisodia, Finance Minister Shri Harpal Singh Cheema and Vice Chairman of Punjab State Traders Commission Shri Anil Thakur on sanctioning an amount of Rs 2 crore to Sangrur district under special fund released by Punjab Government for all-round development of commercial markets.
Shri Arun Jindal said that giving priority to long pending demands of traders and shopkeepers by Punjab Government is a historic step. He said that for the first time special fund has been made available at district level for development of infrastructure of commercial markets, due to which new energy and confidence has been created in commercial sector.
He said that the development fund of Rs 2 crore received by Sangrur will be used for repair of roads and streets in markets, drainage management, construction of modern public washrooms, improvement in electricity management, sanitation management, parking and development of other public facilities. This will provide better and convenient environment to traders as well as people coming for shopping.
He said that Punjab Government has established an effective system by constituting Traders Commission at assembly constituency, district and state level to directly take voice of traders to the government. Through this system, problems of traders are being solved rapidly and policy decisions are also being taken on the basis of their suggestions.
Shri Jindal said that District Traders Commission Sangrur is continuously contacting traders and market associations and taking their problems and suggestions to Punjab State Traders Commission. He expressed confidence that with this special fund the infrastructure of commercial markets of Sangrur will be further strengthened, commercial activities will get boost and it will also contribute significantly in economic progress of the district.
He reiterated that District Traders Commission Sangrur will continue to work with full dedication for protection of interests of traders, solution of their problems and to make commercial environment more favourable.
