Karnal, February 27: The Municipal Corporation of Karnal organized a special exhibition focusing on city cleanliness and holistic and sustainable development at the 18th International Exhibition and Conference on Municipalities 2026 - Safe, Smart, and Sustainable Solutions, held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. Policymakers, urban development experts, industry representatives, and citizens from across the country and abroad visited the exhibition, commending the Municipal Corporation's innovative efforts toward urban sanitation.
Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dr. Vaishali Sharma stated that the exhibition specifically showcased the Municipal Corporation's multifaceted efforts to develop Karnal into a smart, clean, and modern city. Key topics included advanced sanitation management and solid waste management systems, effective water management and conservation measures, greenery expansion and environmental protection initiatives, robust road and other infrastructure development, expansion of digital services and e-governance, and the establishment of smart public utilities.
He said that this exhibition is a powerful reflection of Karnal's rapidly developing landscape and the efforts being made to realize the Smart City concept. He explained that the Karnal Municipal Corporation's objective is to provide its citizens with a clean, safe, technologically-enabled, and environmentally-friendly urban environment. He added that presenting Karnal's achievements and plans on an international platform like Municipality 2026 is a matter of pride for the Municipal Corporation and will strengthen opportunities for new technologies and partnerships in the future.
