Lalru, September 11:- The Bhagwant Singh Mann government in Punjab is continuously giving priority to the comprehensive development of cities and villages. They said that under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, development works are being carried out to provide better basic facilities to the people.
As part of this initiative, Dera Bassi MLA S. Kuljit Singh Randhawa today inaugurated various development works in Lalru at a total cost of Rs. 3 crore 41 lakh 20 thousand.
MLA Randhawa laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Lalru-Dharmgarh Road at a cost of Rs. 2 crore 84 lakh 36 thousand, along with the construction of a drain through 24-inch RCC pipes from Saini Market to Mukhija Palace.
In addition, the construction work of a Brahmin Dharamshala in Ward No. 12 at a cost of Rs. 15 lakh was also initiated.
On this occasion, 17 e-rickshaws purchased at a cost of Rs. 41.84 lakh were flagged off to further strengthen the city’s sanitation system. These e-rickshaws will help make garbage collection and sanitation arrangements in the city more efficient.
MLA Randhawa said that the main objective of the Punjab Government is to provide better facilities and strong basic infrastructure to the people. Development works are being prioritised across the Dera Bassi constituency, including Lalru, to fulfil the needs of the people.
He said that the Aam Aadmi Party government believes in the politics of development and that more projects will be brought for the development of Lalru in the coming time.
On this occasion, Municipal Council President Zorawar Singh, Senior Vice-President Harish Madan, Vice-President Aman Rana, councillors and ward in-charges, officials, block president, various office-bearers and a large number of city residents were present.
