Chandigarh, July 03:- Haryana Chief Electoral Officer A. Srinivas said that during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), it has been found that the names of members of several families are registered in the electoral rolls of different polling stations. Such a situation occurs when two different polling stations have been set up in the same building for a sector or colony. In such a situation, if a family wants that in future the names of all its eligible voters should be registered in the electoral roll of a single polling station, then after the publication of the Primary Electoral Roll-2026, a request for change of polling station can be made by filling Form-8 during the period of claims and objections.
The Chief Electoral Officer appealed to the new voters to fill the details of the already registered members of their family correctly and completely while filling Form-6 and submit the application through the BLO of the same polling station so that the registration of all the members of the family can be ensured at a single polling station.
The Election Department appeals to all the voters to verify their names and other details after the publication of the primary electoral roll. If the names of the family members are registered at different polling stations and they want to get them transferred to a single polling station, then they can apply by filling Form-8 within the specified period from July 21 to August 20, 2026.
For any information and assistance related to the electoral roll, voters can contact the BLO of their area, the “Book a Call” feature of the ECINET App and the toll free number 1950.
