Chandigarh, August 20:– The Haryana Government is continuously taking important steps towards making health services in rural areas more robust and accessible. Under this series, due to the efforts of Haryana Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao, approval has been given to upgrade the Sub-Health Centre located at Sidhravali in Gurugram district as Primary Health Centre (PHC). Along with this, 12 new posts have also been approved for the smooth functioning of the new Primary Health Centre.
He said that the approved posts include one Medical Officer, one Female Medical Officer, one Dental Surgeon, two Pharmacists, one Staff Nurse, one Lab Technician, one MPHS (Male), one MPHS (Female) and one MPHS (Female). (Female) and three Class-IV employees.
The Health Minister said that the main objective of the state government is to provide quality health services to the citizens living in rural areas near their homes. Under this objective, along with upgrading the health institutions as per the requirement, the availability of required medical and paramedical staff is being ensured there.
He said that with the upgrading of Sidhravali Sub-Health Centre as a Primary Health Centre, the people of the surrounding rural areas including Sidhravali will be provided with better and comprehensive health services at the local level than before. This will reduce the dependence of rural citizens on distant health institutions for general treatment and health related services and they will be able to get timely treatment.
He said that healthy citizens are the foundation of a strong and developed Haryana. The state government is working with commitment to strengthen the rural health infrastructure and provide better health facilities to the citizens. He said that keeping in mind the need for health services and local conditions, health institutions will be strengthened as per the requirement in the future as well.
