Hansi, September 16:- The ‘Seva Mera Yogdan’ project will also be organised in the district under the Seva Sankalp Campaign. The project, which will continue for nearly one month, will be led by Hansi MLA Vinod Bhayana. Around 25 activities related to public service, social awareness, health, environment, employment and citizen participation will be organised under this initiative from September 22 to October 17.
The main objective of the project is to connect citizens, youth, students, voluntary organisations and social institutions with service activities, so that public welfare activities can be expanded through the participation of every section of society. Through these programmes, a sense of social responsibility, spirit of service and community cooperation will be strengthened among people.
Under the project, plantation drives, health check-up camps, health awareness programmes, drug de-addiction campaigns, blood donation camps, voter registration and awareness programmes, employment fairs and various public awareness activities will be organised. MLA Vinod Bhayana himself will participate in various programmes and motivate citizens, youth and social organisations to actively participate in public service activities.
In this sequence, the MLA will flag off a health mobile van. The mobile van will reach various villages and urban areas of the Hansi region and provide citizens with primary healthcare services, health check-ups and necessary medical consultation. This will enable people living in remote areas to access healthcare facilities closer to their homes.
Employment Fairs to Provide New Opportunities to Youth
Under the ‘Seva Mera Yogdan’ project, employment fairs will be organised by Government Industrial Training Institutes, skill development centres and other educational and training institutions to connect youth with employment. Various industrial institutions, private establishments and companies will be invited to these fairs so that eligible youth can get employment opportunities according to their educational qualifications, technical skills and training.
Registration of youth, verification of documents, interviews and the selection process will be conducted at the employment fairs. Certificates will be presented to selected candidates by MLA Vinod Bhayana. The objective of this initiative is not only to provide employment opportunities to youth but also to encourage them to become self-reliant.
5000 Saplings to Be Planted Under ‘Mh??? Hari-Bhari Hansi’ Campaign
SDM Rajesh Khoth said that the ‘Mh??? Hari-Bhari Hansi’ campaign has also been linked with the ‘Seva Mera Yogdan’ project to promote environmental conservation. Around 5000 saplings will be planted in the Hansi region under this campaign. Government institutions, educational institutions, public places, roadside areas and other suitable locations will be selected for plantation.
He said that merely planting saplings is not the objective of the campaign; special attention will also be paid to the protection and regular care of the planted saplings. For this, responsibilities will be assigned to departments, social organisations, students and local citizens. People will also be made aware of the importance of environmental conservation, water saving, cleanliness and increasing green areas.
Youth to Be Made Aware Through Drug De-Addiction Campaign
During the project, special camps and public awareness programmes will be organised to make youth and the general public aware of the harmful effects of drugs. Health experts, social workers and officials of concerned departments will provide information during these programmes about the physical, mental, social and economic harm caused by drug use.
Youth will be motivated to stay away from drugs, adopt a healthy lifestyle and participate in sports and creative activities. At the same time, people affected by drug-related problems and their families will be provided information about available treatment and rehabilitation services.
Focus on Voter Registration and Voting Awareness
Under the project, eligible citizens will be encouraged to get their names registered in the electoral roll. In addition, awareness programmes will be organised to provide information regarding necessary corrections in voter identity cards, registration of new voters and the voting process.
Special emphasis will be laid on first-time voters, who will be informed about their role in the democratic process and the importance of voting. Citizens will be appealed to exercise their right to vote responsibly and impartially.
SDM Rajesh Khoth said that responsibilities have been assigned to the concerned departments for all activities to be organised under the project. Coordination has been established among the Health Department, Education Department, Women and Child Development Department, Employment and Skill Development Department, Municipal Council, social organisations and other concerned departments.
He said all departments will organise the programmes effectively through mutual cooperation and coordination so that maximum citizens can participate in these activities and avail themselves of the benefits of schemes and services. The programmes will also be reviewed regularly so that the scheduled targets can be achieved within the stipulated time.
