Chandigarh, September 16:- With the objective of taking forward, through public participation, the service journey of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi during his 25 years of public life and the resolve for a developed India, the Service Resolve Campaign to be organised in Haryana from September 17 to October 17 will begin across the state today with the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ programme. Citizens will participate enthusiastically and express their commitment towards service, dedication and social concerns. Through the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ programme, efforts are being made to connect different sections of society with service activities. On this occasion, citizens and beneficiaries will light lamps with their families at identified locations and major projects.
Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini was presiding over an important meeting held in Chandigarh on Wednesday regarding preparations for the ‘Service Resolve Campaign’. During the meeting, he reviewed in detail the preparations for various programmes proposed under the campaign and issued necessary directions to the officials. Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shri Shyam Singh Rana, Chief Minister’s Chief Principal Secretary Shri Rajesh Khullar, Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Rastogi and other senior officials were present at the meeting, while Deputy Commissioners of all districts joined the meeting through video conferencing.
The Chief Minister said that the dates and action plan for the programmes in all districts should be finalised in time. Nodal officers should be designated at the district level and regular monitoring of each programme should be carried out. He directed the officials to obtain regular reports on the progress of the programmes at the district level.
He said that service camps should also be organised at the block level, as well as in municipal corporations, municipal councils, municipalities and Maha Grams under the ‘Service Resolve Campaign’. At these service camps, complaints related to beneficiary details of schemes being implemented by various departments and tasks such as adding new beneficiaries should be completed on the spot. The Chief Minister clearly directed that the benefits of these services should be provided on the spot so that no citizen has to make repeated visits to offices after attending the camp.
The Chief Minister directed the School Education and Higher Education Departments to organise activities related to service, nation-building and creativity in schools, colleges and universities. Painting, rangoli and other creative competitions should be organised for students. Better activities and innovations at the district and school levels should be identified and showcased on a wider platform. Maximum participation of students and youth should be ensured under the campaign.
He said that all departments should undertake micro-planning of the programmes through mutual coordination. The dates of the programmes should be fixed in such a manner that maximum public participation can be ensured in each programme.
He said that the objective of the ‘Service Resolve Campaign’ is to ensure the active participation of society in service activities. Therefore, a concrete plan should be prepared for each programme at the administrative level, and the campaign should be effectively implemented at the village, block, district and state levels.
Second Phase of Lado Lakshmi Scheme to Begin Workers to Also Receive Benefits of Various Schemes
Along with the launch of the ‘Service Resolve Campaign’, an important initiative towards women’s empowerment and workers’ welfare will also be undertaken at the Vishwakarma Day programme to be organised in Mahendragarh. Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini will launch the second phase of the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Scheme, taking forward the process of extending the benefits of the scheme to more eligible women. On the same occasion, eligible workers will also be provided benefits under various schemes being implemented for their welfare. The Chief Minister directed the officials to ensure that the benefits of the schemes reach eligible beneficiaries in a systematic and transparent manner and that all necessary arrangements are made to connect them with the schemes during the programme.
Documentation of Better Initiatives and Success Stories from Every District
Shri Nayab Singh Saini said that innovative efforts, better initiatives and success stories from the districts during the campaign should be compiled. These should be widely publicised through social media and other mediums so that other districts can also draw inspiration from good work. He also directed officials to prepare an effective publicity plan for the campaign and make better use of digital mediums.
