Patiala:- As per the directions of Health Minister Dr. Balvir Singh Ji, under the leadership of Medical Superintendent Rajindra Hospital Patiala Dr. Vishal Chopra, Principal Dr. Balwinder Kaur started the second training camp for Government Nursing College students on Disaster Management, Civil Defense, First Aid, CPR, Fire Safety, Care of the Injured and Rescue Transport of Victims, saying that at this time every student, citizen, employee should take training and practice of Disaster Management Civil Defense like NDRF and Army personnel.
In the future, one should be ready to make efforts to save oneself and help the victims. Trainings are being given to more than 80 students by Disaster Management, First Aid Trainer Mr. Kaka Ram Verma. He said that in future, to prevent natural and man-made disasters, wars, accidents in domestic and commercial establishments and to save precious lives, training and practice in first aid, CPR, recovery positions, ventilator artificial respiration will prove to be more useful than treatment.
Because by the time ambulances or family vehicles reach the hospitals after a long time, the victims' breathing, heart and brain functions stop, resulting in death within a few minutes. On this occasion, Shri Harinder Singh Karir Red Cross Society trained the students to immobilize the severed limbs using triangular bandages and splints and stop the bleeding.
Inspector Sarabjit Kaur and ASI Ram Saran of the Traffic Education Cell and Mr. Ashish Sharma, Manager of Maruti Suzuki Car Driving School, provided information on reducing traffic accidents, their causes, and preventing the increasing deaths and disabilities due to fatal hand injuries, spinal fractures, and internal bleeding.
