Chandigarh, November 23:- Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini said that Saral Aajivika Mela brings artisans and buyers on one platform and also contributes to the economic self-reliance of the country. We all should be proud of the items made by our artisans and should give priority to the products made by them. By doing this, we can help the artisans and small entrepreneurs of our area.
Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini was addressing the closing ceremony of Saral Aajivika Mela-2025 organized at the Parade Ground in Sector-5, Panchkula on Sunday as the chief guest.
Women entrepreneurs should manufacture such products which can give a tough competition to foreign products in terms of quality and craftsmanship. The Chief Minister inspected the stalls of various products put up by the members of Women Self Help Groups, artisans and craftsmen from different states and showed deep interest in the products. He praised the art and skill of women and said that by manufacturing indigenous products, our sisters are making a significant contribution to strengthening the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Vocal for Local of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He appealed to the women entrepreneurs to manufacture such products which can give a tough competition to foreign products in terms of quality and craftsmanship.
SHG products will be showcased and sold globally through Swapan Digital Village Bazaar Portal
On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini inaugurated two online portals of Haryana State Gram Aajeevika Mish- Swapan Digital Gram Bazaar Portal and Sanjha Bazaar Sales Portal.
Swapan Digital Gram Bazaar Portal is an integrated e-commerce platform, through which products manufactured by Self Help Groups of Haryana will be showcased and sold globally. This initiative will increase the livelihood of rural women and strengthen their economic independence. This online retail platform will facilitate SHGs to register their products, receive orders, view sales records and reach out to customers at the state and national level.
Similarly, through the Sanjha Bazaar Sales Portal, SHGs will get facilities like continuous market availability, transparency in stall allotment, real-time sales tracking and product performance analysis. This portal will integrate all operational activities under the common bazaar, bus stand shops, village shops, canteens, Saras Mela and mall stalls.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi also praised the work of Self Help Groups
The Chief Minister said that he is happy that the participation of our sisters in this fair is high. It has become a platform for women empowerment. He said that Self Help Groups have a significant contribution in the economic independence of women across the country. He said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has also praised the work of Self Help Groups. He mentioned the handloom industry of Rohtak district in the Mann Ki Baat program on July 28, 2024.
He praised the hard work and skill of the sisters engaged in that industry. In it, more than 250 women of Rohtak district do block printing and dyeing work. They have received training by joining self-help groups. To encourage such industries, the state government had established the Haryana State Rural Livelihood Mission. It is increasing the income of rural poor families and connecting them with the mainstream of society.
Arrangement of common markets is being done at all district headquarters
The Chief Minister said that after seeing the products made by women in the fair, he has felt that if they are given a chance, they are no less than anyone. Arrangement of common markets is being done at all district headquarters to sell such products. So far, 10 common markets have been set up in the state. Along with this, online and offline platforms have been made available for support in marketing and branding.
5 lakh 98 thousand families have been linked in 60,554 self-help groups
The Chief Minister said that under the Haryana State Rural Livelihood Mission, 5 lakh 98 thousand families have been linked in 60,554 self-help groups so far. These are provided financial assistance in the form of revolving funds and community investment funds as simple loans. So far, various types of financial assistance worth Rs 547 crore 89 lakh have been provided. The government has increased the amount of community investment fund from Rs 50 thousand to Rs 1 lakh 50 thousand. Apart from this, the sisters of self-help groups have been trained in hotel management. Such sisters are running about 380 canteens in the state.
Target of making three lakh millionaires in Haryana
Shri Naib Singh Saini said that under the Drone Didi scheme, sisters are also being trained to operate drones. With this, they are rendering their services in agriculture, horticulture and other fields and are becoming self-reliant. Drones have been distributed to 100 women. The government is continuously working to ensure that drone didis get maximum work. The government's target is that there should be three lakh millionaire didis in Haryana in the coming time.
The Chief Minister said that women are the backbone of our society. Women have played an equal role in this four-fold development of the state. Due to this, today Haryana is counted among the most progressive states of the country. To make women self-reliant, we have given the operation of 151 Vita sales centers in the state to women.
The dreams of women entrepreneurs have got a new lift with Saral Aajeevika Mela - Dr. Saket Kumar
Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister and Commissioner and Secretary, Development and Panchayat Department Dr. Saket Kumar said that the aim of Saras Aajivika Mela is not only to provide an opportunity to the women of the Self Help Groups to sell their products but also to give a new lease of life to their dreams. He said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini have taken many important steps to make women self-reliant in the country and the state.
Women entrepreneurs shared their experiences, expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister
During the program, women of the Self Help Groups from Haryana and other states shared their experiences and thanked Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini for providing a suitable platform to the women entrepreneurs to sell their products. He said that they have become self-reliant and the products made by them are being recognized in the country and abroad. He said that the fair generated good income from the sale of pickles, spices, various types of food, metal utensils, toys etc.
On this occasion, Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Shruti Chaudhary, former Speaker of Haryana Vidhan Sabha Mr. Gian Chand Gupta, Mayor Mr. Kulbhushan Goyal along with women from self-help groups, artisans, weavers and craftsmen from various states were present.
