Santokhgarh/Una, July 22 (Rajveer Chopra): The newly elected President of the Santokhgarh Municipal Council, Anjana Chabba, and Vice-President Sandeep Kumar took the oath of office and secrecy on Wednesday during a ceremony held at the SDM office in Una. SDM Abhishek Mittal administered the oath to them.
Following the swearing-in ceremony, President Anjana Chabba and Vice-President Sandeep Kumar received a grand welcome from town residents, prominent citizens, social organizations, and local public representatives. On this occasion, both representatives were presented with bouquets, garlands, and mementos, along with best wishes for their new responsibilities.
Subsequently, both officials arrived at the Santokhgarh Municipal Council office and formally assumed charge of their duties. Those present at the ceremony expressed confidence that under the leadership of President Anjana Chabba and Vice-President Sandeep Kumar, the Santokhgarh Municipal Council would scale new heights of development. They also voiced expectations that priority would be given to initiatives concerning sanitation, drinking water, roads, street lighting, environmental conservation, and other public amenities.
In their addresses, President Anjana Chabba and Vice-President Sandeep Kumar expressed gratitude to all citizens and stated that they would accord top priority to the town's holistic development, transparent functioning, and the public interest, without any discrimination. They also appealed to the residents for active cooperation in development activities.
