Chandigarh, August 23:- Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that Samrasta is not a one-day event but a value and a way of life. The true meaning of Samrasta is not to erase one's identity, but to strengthen the unity of society and the nation by giving equal respect to every identity. He said that while promoting the spirit of harmony, mutual goodwill and social unity, and drawing inspiration from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's guiding principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas,” the Haryana Government is continuously moving forward with the goal of Antyodaya. The Chief Minister said that the government's clear resolve is to ensure that development schemes and their benefits reach first the person who stands at the very end of society.
The Chief Minister was addressing, as the Chief Guest, the Samrasta Sammelan of all Scheduled Castes and Pratibha Samman Samaroh organized under the Meghwal Utthan Samiti in the Bawal constituency of Rewari district on Sunday. On the occasion, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini also honoured 411 young talents. Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh, Bawal MLA Dr. Krishan Kumar, Rewari MLA Laxman Yadav, Kosli MLA Anil Yadav, former Minister Dr. Banwari Lal, and members of the organizing committee were also present.

Great Personalities Gave Society a New Direction by Showing the Path of Knowledge, Equality and Social Justice: Chief Minister
The Chief Minister said that Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji envisioned a society where there was no place for any kind of discrimination, fear or injustice. Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and Mata Savitribai Phule challenged social conventions, opened the doors of education for everyone and made historic efforts, particularly for women's education.
In the same tradition, Babasaheb Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar considered education the most powerful source of social change and struggled for the rights and equal opportunities of deprived sections. The Chief Minister said that although the paths followed by all these great personalities were different, their destination was the same—knowledge, respect, equality and equal opportunities for every individual to move forward.

When Talents Get a Platform, They Certainly Make Their Mark: Chief Minister
The Chief Minister said that the government's effort is to ensure that financial constraints do not become an obstacle to any child's dreams. Under this objective, free coaching is being provided to Scheduled Caste students whose annual family income is up to ?2.50 lakh. Under the Dr. Ambedkar Meritorious Scholarship Scheme, annual scholarships ranging from ?8,000 to ?12,000 are being provided, while post-matric students are being given educational allowances ranging from ?2,500 to ?13,500 along with the facility of compulsory fees. Students of Classes 9 and 10 are provided an annual scholarship of ?3,500, while those residing in hostels receive ?7,000 annually.
Free bicycles have been provided to 9,090 students at a cost of ?3 crore, while incentive amounts of ?44.18 crore have been provided to 4.02 lakh students from Classes 1 to 8. He said that under Mission Buniyad, around 400 children were provided digital coaching, out of which 272 children were selected for institutions such as IITs and 61 children were selected for NEET. He said that when talents receive a platform, they certainly make their mark.

Education, Health and Self-Reliance Being Promoted Through Various Schemes in Haryana: Nayab Singh Saini
The Chief Minister said that the government's objective is not merely to provide financial assistance to needy sections but to make them self-reliant with dignity. Under the Mukhyamantri Vivah Shagun Yojana, financial assistance of ?71,000 is provided for the marriage of daughters from Scheduled Caste families, and ?1,200 crore has been distributed under the scheme during the last 11 years. At the same time, under the Lado Lakshmi Yojana, ?2,042 crore has been transferred to the accounts of 10 lakh women during the last 18 months.
For the expansion of the scheme, the registration portal will be opened in September, through which women from families with an annual income of up to ?1.80 lakh will be able to apply. Under the scheme to provide gas cylinders to mothers and sisters of poor families at ?500, an amount of ?300 crore has so far been transferred to beneficiaries' accounts.

Chief Minister Assures Positive Action on All Demands of Meghwal Utthan Samiti, Announces ?31 Lakh
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini accepted all 10 demands put forward by the Meghwal Utthan Samiti and said that these would be forwarded to the concerned departments for the required approval. Regarding the demand for construction of Dharamshalas in Rewari and Bawal, he said that once the Samiti identifies the location, the government would initiate the process of making land available as per the rules.
The Chief Minister said that establishing a library in every panchayat is a government goal and around 1,000 libraries have already been opened across the state. The scheme will soon be expanded to all villages so that children do not have to travel far for studies and preparation for competitive examinations. On the occasion, he also announced a grant of ?31 lakh to the Meghwal Utthan Samiti.

Development Scenario Changed in Ahirwal, Development Reached Every Section: Rao Narbir Singh
Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh, while addressing the programme, said that there has been a major change in the development scenario of the Ahirwal region since 2014. Earlier, there were complaints that development and employment opportunities remained limited to certain areas, but the BJP Government has accelerated balanced development across the state with the spirit of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas.” He said that today, widespread changes can be seen in roads, employment and other development works in the Ahirwal region.

Rao Says Chief Minister's Simple and Affable Nature Makes Him Popular
Rao Narbir Singh praised Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini for his simple, humble and approachable nature and said that despite his busy schedule, the Chief Minister is always ready to reach out to ordinary people and listen to their concerns. He said that the Chief Minister always has a smile on his face and meets every person with ease while making efforts to resolve their problems. He said that even when people come to meet the Chief Minister late at night, he listens to them and makes efforts to find solutions.

Addressing the gathering, Bawal MLA Dr. Krishan Kumar said that Babasaheb Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar described education, organisation and self-respect as the foundation of social progress and gave the country the great ideals of equality, liberty, justice and fraternity through the Constitution.
Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji and Sant Kabir Ji also gave the message of rising above social hierarchy and discrimination and moving forward with brotherhood and harmony. He said that Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya's concept of Antyodaya and Babasaheb's principle of equality shared the goal of uplifting the last person in society and ensuring equal opportunities for all.
Taking forward these great ideas and ideals, the Haryana Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, is continuously moving ahead towards building a harmonious society. The Chief Minister honoured 411 young talents from the Meghwal community at the Scheduled Caste and Social Harmony Pratibha Samman Samaroh. These meritorious students have brought laurels to society and the state through outstanding achievements in various fields, including education, medical, engineering and sports. The Chief Minister honoured some of the talents on stage by presenting them with medals and certificates of appreciation. On the arrival of the Chief Minister and other dignitaries at the programme, Meghwal Utthan Samiti President Ved Prakash and Bhupender Meghwal welcomed them.
