Chandigarh, September 11:- ROTTO North, PGIMER, Chandigarh, conducted an organ donation awareness session at Eternity Logistics under the nationwide ‘Jug Jug Jiyo Campaign’, covering employees from both morning and night-shift batches.
Recognizing the importance of taking health awareness and social responsibility initiatives to employees working across different schedules, Eternity Logistics facilitated two dedicated awareness sessions — one for morning-shift employees and another for the night-shift batch. The initiative ensured that employees working at different times had an equal opportunity to understand the importance of organ and tissue donation and participate in the awareness programme.
The sessions witnessed an enthusiastic and encouraging response from employees, with participants actively engaging with the ROTTO North team, raising questions and seeking clarity on various aspects of organ donation and transplantation. The initiative reflected Eternity Logistics’ commitment to creating a socially aware and responsible workplace and bringing meaningful community-oriented initiatives closer to its employees.
Speaking on the occasion, Marketing Head of Eternity Logistics, Shri Ravi Kumar, appreciated the efforts of ROTTO North, PGIMER, in taking the message of organ donation directly to workplaces. He said, “A workplace is not only a place where we contribute professionally; it is also a space where awareness, compassion and social responsibility can grow. We are happy to facilitate these awareness sessions for both our morning and night-shift teams. The enthusiasm shown by our employees reflects their willingness to understand and support work that can give someone a second chance at life. We sincerely appreciate ROTTO North, PGIMER, for bringing this important message to our organization.”
The ROTTO North team particularly appreciated Eternity Logistics’ decision to conduct separate sessions for employees working in different shifts. The initiative demonstrated that workplace awareness programmes can be designed in an inclusive manner, ensuring that operational schedules do not become a barrier to participation in important public-health and humanitarian campaigns.
During the sessions, Ms. Sarayu D. Madra, Consultant, IEC Media, ROTTO North, PGIMER, interacted with employees and highlighted the importance of informed awareness in strengthening the organ donation movement. Ms. Madra said, “Organ donation begins with awareness, but it becomes meaningful when people have the opportunity to ask questions, understand the process and make an informed decision. The participation of employees from both shifts at Eternity Logistics is particularly encouraging as it shows that awareness can reach every section of the workplace when organizations take the initiative to make it accessible.”
The awareness programme focused on the concept and importance of organ and tissue donation, the need for deceased organ donation, the process involved in transplantation, and the importance of dispelling commonly prevalent myths and misconceptions. Participants were also encouraged to have open conversations with their families about their wishes regarding organ donation.
Dr. Vijay Tadia, Nodal Officer, ROTTO North, PGIMER, appreciated Eternity Logistics for taking the initiative to involve its workforce in the organ donation movement. He said, “Eternity Logistics’ response is a strong reminder that the organ donation movement can gain strength when institutions and organizations come forward as partners in awareness. Conducting separate sessions for morning and night-shift employees ensured wider participation and created an opportunity for meaningful interaction. Such initiatives help take the message of organ donation beyond hospitals and into everyday workplaces and communities.”
The sessions also included an interactive question-and-answer segment, which generated considerable interest among the employees. Participants raised questions related to eligibility for donation, the donation process, myths associated with organ donation, family consent and transplantation. The ROTTO North team responded to the questions and provided accurate information to help participants make informed decisions. The ROTTO North team, including Ritika and Manpreet, assisted all those who came forward to pledge for organ donation.
The initiative by Eternity Logistics highlights the growing role of workplaces in supporting public awareness campaigns and encouraging employees to contribute to activities with a wider social impact. By extending the programme across different shifts, the company demonstrated an inclusive approach towards employee engagement and social responsibility.
