Araria (Bihar) - Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday accused the opposition RJD-Congress alliance in Bihar of being soft on infiltrators. He said that these same people dislike Lord Ram and 'Chhathi Maiya' due to vote bank politics.
Addressing an election rally in Araria district, Modi also alleged that the reluctance of opposition leaders to go to Ayodhya to 'visit' religious places dedicated to Nishad Raj, Mata Shabri and Maharishi Valmiki is a sign of their 'hatred' towards Dalits and backward classes.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Bihar is voting for development today. He said that the decision taken to free the people of Bihar from 'jungle raj' has been taken again. The Prime Minister was addressing an election rally in Araria.
Modi said, "Today, voting is taking place in other parts of Bihar. People are reaching polling stations in large numbers. Young people are also voting in large numbers. This flood of people is telling what the outcome of the Bihar assembly elections is going to be." He said, "Once again, the government of the National Democratic Alliance...once again, the government of good governance. This is Modi's guarantee. Your dreams are Modi's resolution." Talking about the previous Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) rule in the state, the Prime Minister said that during the 'jungle raj', Bihar's development was completely stalled.
He said, "Jungle raj means bitterness, cruelty, misrule and corruption. During that period, Bihar's development report card was zero. How many expressways were built, how many bridges were built on the Kosi river, how many sports complexes were built, how many medical colleges were opened? The answer to all is zero. No ITIs or IIMs. Modi said that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has taken Bihar out of 'jungle raj' and put it on the path of development.
He said, "IIT and AIIMS were established in Patna, a second AIIMS is being built in Darbhanga, there are four central universities - all this has happened during the NDA government, during the double engine government." The Prime Minister said that infrastructure is being developed on a large scale in the Seemanchal region and "only the NDA can bring development to Bihar".
