Una, February 2: To ensure the continuity and effective implementation of development works after the completion of the term of panchayat representatives, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri held a review meeting with officers and employees in Haroli on Monday.
The meeting, held at the Block Committee Hall in Haroli, was attended by senior officers of the sub-divisional administration, along with all panchayat secretaries, technical assistants, village employment assistants, and junior engineers.
The Deputy Chief Minister gave clear instructions to the officers and employees to expedite development works and complete public welfare schemes on a priority basis within the stipulated time. He said that after the completion of the term of the panchayat representatives, all the powers of the panchayats are currently vested with the administrative staff, and therefore, any kind of laxity in development works will not be tolerated.
He said that the government's top priority is to complete projects directly related to the public with quality and within the stipulated timeframe. The Deputy Chief Minister directed that all development works under MNREGA should be completed by April 1st, stating that this will strengthen infrastructure development in rural areas.
On this occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister directed that all necessary basic facilities, including electricity and water, be ensured at the Haroli crematorium. He also announced the early completion of the park under construction in Dullehra and the construction of a grand square in Saloh, giving important gifts to the people of the area.
In the meeting, Block Development Officer Mukesh Kumar presented detailed information about various development works being carried out under NRLM, MNREGA, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, SDRF, Chief Minister Gram Path Yojana, and MLA Regional Development Fund. All the panchayat secretaries apprised the Deputy Chief Minister of the progress of the works underway in their respective areas.
On this occasion, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Vishal Sharma, Tehsildar Jaimal Singh, Senior Superintendent Rajneesh Sharma, and officers and employees of various departments were present.
