Mahilpur:- The cheques of Rs 10.68 crore released by the government to the 1708 people whose houses were damaged due to heavy rains in the district were distributed by AAP's Lok Sabha MP from Hoshiarpur Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal and MLA from Chabbewal Dr. Ishank Kumar at their homes. It is noteworthy that the government has provided this amount ranging from Rs 40 thousand to Rs 1 lakh 20 thousand to the affected families.
On this occasion, Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal said that the promise made by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to the affected families has been fulfilled. He said that although no one is strong enough in the face of natural disasters, the Aam Aadmi Party government is the government of the people and that is why it is a partner in the joys and sorrows of the people everywhere.
Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal said that whatever promise has been made by the state government till date has been fulfilled on time while other political parties believe in making promises but never fulfill them. He further said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, record development works have been done in the state and currently large-scale work is also underway.
Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal said that the appearance of the roads of the district is going to change soon in the coming days. On this occasion, MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar said that the facilities provided by the government are being provided to every house of the Chabbewal assembly constituency, he said that the people of the constituency are members of our family and it is our duty to develop every family, which is being done with full dedication.
Dr. Ishank Kumar said that just as relief money has been provided to the families affected by the rain, relief will continue to be provided to the people under other policies of the government.
