Chandigarh, December 27:- Haryana Industries and Commerce, Forest and Environment Minister Rao Narbir Singh on Saturday laid the foundation stone of various development works being undertaken by the Municipal Corporation Gurugram in Malibu Town area.
The works laid include construction of underground water tank in Malibu Town, installation of interlocking tiles in Starwood and GS blocks, Malibu Town Ward-11 and development and beautification works of Central Park (Haihai-82) and Starwood Park.
Rao Narbir Singh said that all the proposed development works in the area will be completed in a phased and time-bound manner. The government is working with full seriousness and commitment in this direction.
He assured that all the necessary works mentioned by the citizens will be completed as soon as possible on priority basis. Continuous development works are being done to strengthen the basic amenities in the area.
Describing Malibu Town as the greenest sector of Gurugram, he said that environmental protection is among the top priorities of the government. He said that with the collective efforts of everyone, it is possible to build a better, cleaner and developed Gurugram, so that the future of the coming generations can be safe and bright.
Rao Narbir Singh also said that a positive atmosphere is created only with awareness. During the program, he appealed for public participation in environmental protection and said that a polythene-free pilot project has been started in Gurugram. Its aim is to make citizens aware of the ill effects of polythene and to make Haryana polythene-free with public cooperation.
He said that the main reason for the blockage of 90 percent of the sewer lines in the state is lolithin, which causes serious health problems along with pollution. The Minister clarified that this campaign will be successful only when the common people adopt it as a people's movement.

Guru Gobind Singh's birth anniversary celebrated in Gurdwara Sahib
Haryana's Industries and Commerce, Forest and Environment Minister Rao Narbir Singh paid obeisance on the occasion of the 359th holy birth anniversary of the tenth Guru of Sikhism, Shri Guru Singh Sabha, at Gurdwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha in Sector-22 and wished for the happiness and prosperity of the state and the country. On this occasion, he extended his best wishes to the people of the state on the occasion of Parkash Purab.
He said that Guru Gobind Singh's life has been dedicated to courage, sacrifice and protection of humanity, and his ideals still inspire the society to serve and benevolence. He said that no matter how big a natural disaster may occur in the country and abroad, Sikhism always plays a leading role and is ready with full responsibility in the service of humanity. Food is provided to every person without any discrimination through gurdwaras, where no person has returned hungry.
He said that the great tradition of langar also started from here, which is a living example of humanity and service. Sharing his experience, he said that in his entire life he has never seen any Sikh brother begging on the road or spreading his hands in front of anyone, because the Sikh society runs on the values ??of self-respect, hard work and service and is always at the forefront in supporting others.
