Mahilpur:- MP from Lok Sabha constituency Hoshiarpur Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal, while giving great good news for the residents of the district, said that soon 1035 km long roads are being constructed in different assembly constituencies of the district and in this regard, the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann has approved the expenditure of Rs 400 crore.
Dr. Chabbewal further said that 975 km roads will be constructed with Rs 344 crore through PWD. Similarly, Punjab Mandi Board will spend Rs 60.35 crore and construct 74 km roads in the district. Dr. Chabbewal said that where new roads will be constructed as per the requirement, concrete roads will also be constructed and along with this, many roads will be widened to 18 feet and given a new look and new roads are being constructed at many places as per the needs of the people.
He said that the work of this road network will be completed by 31 March 2026. Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal said that no kind of negligence will be allowed in this big development work. Therefore, whichever company constructs the road, it will also be responsible for the repair of that road for the next 5 years.
Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal said that with this 975 km road network, not only will traffic flow smoothly, but the accident graph will also come down, it will become easier for people to reach from one place to another, and business will also flourish. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the state is moving at a fast pace on the path of continuous development and during this entire year, the government is going to complete those major development projects that the opposition parties are not even thinking about.
