Hoshiarpur:- District Planning Committee Chairperson Karamjit Kaur said that in view of the international situation arising from the US-Israel-Iran conflict, the Punjab government led by Bhagwant Singh Mann has issued 24x7 helpline numbers to assist Punjabis stranded in Central Asia and the Middle East. She said that the state government is continuously monitoring the situation and is making all possible efforts to ensure the safe return of the affected people.
Karamjit Kaur said that the helpline numbers issued by the government 0172-2260042, 0172-2260043, +91 94787-79112 (for foreign nationals) and 1100 (for Indian nationals) will continue to work 24 hours a day. Through these numbers, family members can get information about their members and seek necessary assistance. He said that the Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs Dr. Ravjot Singh is personally monitoring the situation and coordinating with the Central Government to ensure the early and safe return of the affected Punjabis.
Karamjit Kaur assured that the Punjab Government will not leave its citizens alone in this time of crisis and will ensure assistance at all levels. She appealed to the public to ignore any kind of rumours and contact only the official helpline.
