Nawanshahr:- The Punjab Government has today launched three more Aam Aadmi Clinics in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district with the aim of providing the best health facilities to the people closer to home. These new clinics have been established in Mota Singh Nagar (behind the Government De-Addiction Center), Pandaura Mohalla (behind the Service Center) and Hargobind Nagar (Kulam Road), Nawanshahr. With this, the total number has increased to 22 including the 19 clinics already running in the district.
All the clinics are IT enabled and facilities like digital registration, medical consultation, lab tests and medicine distribution etc. are available here. Aam Aadmi Party's Nawanshahr constituency in-charge and Punjab State Industrial Training Board Deputy Chairman Mr. Lalit Mohan Pathak formally inaugurated the new Aam Aadmi Clinic at Mota Singh Nagar on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Lalit Mohan Pathak said that the Punjab government is fully committed to providing better healthcare services to the common people. He said that the aim of these Aam Aadmi clinics is to provide basic healthcare facilities to the people near their homes. Mr. Pathak said that bringing structural reforms in healthcare facilities by providing the best healthcare facilities to the people is a revolutionary step of the Punjab government.
With these, while the patients are getting all kinds of healthcare facilities under one roof, on the other hand, the burden of patients in big government hospitals has also reduced and the time of the patients is also being saved. On this occasion, Civil Surgeon Dr. Gurinderjit Singh said that 47 types of tests and 107 types of medicines will be available free of cost in these Aam Aadmi clinics.
