Chandigarh, January 9:- Under the leadership of Haryana Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini, the series of pre-budget consultation meetings regarding the state's general budget for the upcoming financial year 2026-27 is continuing. In this series, the Chief Minister held meaningful discussions with the representatives and officials of the health sector regarding the upcoming budget in the second session of the meeting held in Surajkund, Faridabad on Friday. He greeted the representatives involved in the discussions on the New Year and said that this meeting is a powerful opportunity to give direction to the future of the health sector in the state. He paid homage to Raja Nahar Singh on the occasion of his martyrdom at the beginning of the session.
The meeting was attended by Minister for Commerce and Disaster Management, Shri Vipul Goyal, Minister for Health, Shri Aarti Singh Rao, Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Shri Rajesh Nagar, former Minister and MLA from Ballabhgarh, Shri Moolchand Sharma, MLA from Barkhal, Shri Dhanesh Adalkha, MLA from NIT, Shri Satish Fagna, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Shri Rajesh Khullar and senior officers of the state government.
Haryana will become the growth engine of the concept of Developed India 2047
Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini, who also holds the charge of Finance Minister, said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has resolved to make the country developed by 2047. In that concept, Haryana will become the growth engine of the country. Last month, Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah also launched Haryana's Vision Document 2047 in Panchkula. He said that this time the budget has taken suggestions from all sections, due to which this budget will not be the budget of the government but of the people of the state.
Our goal is to take the benefits of health sector schemes to the last person
Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini said that this year the health sector has been given priority in the pre-budget consultation. He said that health is the basis of the life of the common citizen. Every citizen of Haryana is my family and protecting the health of this family is my biggest responsibility. The government is determined that health-related schemes should not be limited to files only, but should be effectively shown on the ground and their benefits should reach the last person.
Health, infrastructure, human resources and services will be strengthened
The Chief Minister said that only the policy is effective, which sees health not as a convenience, but as a right. Under this vision, the health budget was increased by 8.7 percent last year. He said that this year the target is to take the health budget to a double digit growth, so that health infrastructure, human resources and services can be further strengthened.
6 thousand 711 crores spent on health sector in the current financial year
The Chief Minister informed that Rs 6 thousand 711 crores 82 lakhs have been spent so far on health sector provisions in the budget for the year 2025-26. Fulfilling the promise of the Sankalp Patra, dialysis facility is being made available free of cost in all the district hospitals of the state. Modern facilities like CT scan, MRI, ultrasound, blood analyzer and digital X-ray have been made available in all the district hospitals of the state. He said that private rooms have been arranged in district hospitals, day-care cancer centers are being set up and 50-bed critical care blocks are being built in all district hospitals and government medical colleges. Along with this, all blood banks in the state are being modernized so that safe and immediate blood supply can be ensured in emergency situations.
Those whose suggestions will be included in the budget will be invited to the Vidhan Sabha to hear the budget speech
The Chief Minister said that reaching the last person of health services is the current identity of good governance. The Chief Minister appealed to all the participants to give more suggestions in the next 8-10 days and send them through chatbot. Representatives of the health sector who reached the meeting gave their suggestions regarding the upcoming budget and had extensive discussions with the officials regarding various provisions. The Chief Minister listened to all the suggestions carefully. The Chief Minister said that the stakeholders whose suggestions will be included in the Budget 2026-27 will be invited to hear the Budget speech in the Vidhan Sabha.
On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary of the Health Department Mr. Sudhir Rajpal, Director General of Golden Jayanti Haryana Institute of Financial Management Dr. Raj Nehru, Media Advisor to the Chief Minister Mr. Rajiv Jaitley, Mayor of Faridabad Mrs. Praveen Joshi and representatives of institutions like Max Healthcare, SSB Heart and Multi Specialty Hospital, Prem Hospital, Asian Hospital, Indian Medical Association, NIMA, Association of Indian Medical Industry, Idraprast Apollo, Indian Dentist Association etc. were present.
