SAS Nagar, October 13 – Playwright Sanjeevan Singh has gifted three hundred books to the Santokh Singh Dhir Library, dedicated to Punjabi writer late Santokh Singh Dhir by the Municipal Corporation Mohali at Sylvi Park in Phase-10 of Mohali, on his 64th birthday.
Handing over the books to the Director of the library, Professor Angrez Singh Chahil, through Mr. Kuljit Singh Bedi, he said that in today’s chaotic era, books are our most sincere and honest companions.
Books are capable of getting us out of every crisis and dilemma. Mr. Bedi said that it is commendable for the Roop family to gift books to the library on the occasion of Sanjeevan’s birthday. The fourth generation of this family is active in the field of literature.
Popular actors of Punjabi theatre and films Kukku Diwan and Ranjivan Singh and Professor Chahal also expressed their feelings. Advocates and theatre artists Rishamraj Singh, Sahil and Daksh were also present on the occasion, among others.
