Hoshiarpur- In view of the increase in cold, fog and cold winds in the coming days, Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal appealed to the people to take full precautions during the cold season so that any unpleasant situation can be avoided.
Appealing for protection from cold winds, Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal said that keeping this season in mind, people should ensure necessary arrangements which can be immediately put into practice during the increase in cold. She said that people should take special care of the elderly and children, as well as give priority to the care of animals, crops and other goods.
The Deputy Commissioner said that keeping in mind the cold weather, one should not be careless and should also be prepared to protect oneself from cold winds in one's homes etc. She said that if any physical problem arises due to cold, one should immediately seek the advice of a doctor. She also appealed to the vehicle drivers that during the foggy weather, along with keeping the speed of the vehicles slow, the lights and signals of the vehicles should be kept fully working so that any untoward incident can be avoided. 
She said that while driving, one should completely avoid using mobile phones and overtaking and always pay attention to safe driving. The Deputy Commissioner said that during cold winds, special care should also be taken of the animals and appropriate precautions should be taken to prevent cold winds at the place where they are tied.
