Chandigarh, October 21 - Haryana's Minister of State for Sports, Mr. Gaurav Gautam, on Tuesday laid the foundation stone of the beautification works to be done at Agra Chowk in Palwal city at a cost of Rs 1.60 crore.
On this occasion, the Minister said that with this amount, various beautification works will be done at Agra Chowk. In the coming time, Palwal will become an example for the people.
He said that no stone will be left unturned to make Palwal big and magnificent as well as clean and beautiful.
Sports Minister, Mr. Gaurav Gautam said that the main objective of the government and the district administration is to make Palwal clean and tidy and make it number one in the entire country, for this, all possible efforts are being made by the government and the district administration. He said that under the beautification of Palwal, the beauty of the city is being enhanced through cleanliness, lighting and art.
The Municipal Council is decorating the main markets, intersections and public places with tricolor and colorful LED lights. Apart from this, mural art and magnificent gates are being built on the lines of big cities on flyovers and walls. Regular cleaning campaigns are being conducted to make the city clean and bright.
He said that there is a plan to build magnificent gates on the main gates of the city. Attractive selfie points named Sada Palwal have also been built in the city. Along with the repair and renovation of roads, modernization of the railway station and development of basic facilities in the transport city are also underway. He also gave necessary instructions to the officials of the Municipal Council regarding cleanliness.
Municipal Council Chairman Dr. Yashpal, DMC Manisha Sharma and honorable people were present on this occasion.
