Jalandhar:- Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee President Kulwant Singh Sandhu, General Secretary Gurmeet Singh and Convener of the Cultural Wing Amolak Singh said that World Theatre Day is being celebrated on 27th March 2026 at 11:00 am at Desh Bhagat Yadgar Hall. They said that World Theatre Day is being celebrated on that occasion. When the American and Israeli rulers are waging an unjust war on the people of the whole world to loot precious natural treasures and control the world market according to their policies.
On such an occasion, the Theatre Day will give a message from the world stage to thwart the evil designs of the imperialist and their vested interests. This day will emerge as a day of freedom of expression of ideas. On this occasion, the senior trustee of the committee, Prof. Waryam Singh Sandhu will share his views on the topic 'Life is a theatre stage'.
After this, Navchintan Kala Manch Beas will present the play 'Sis Tali 'te' written by Gursharan Singh under the direction of director Krantipal and associate Pritpal and the short play 'Moiyaan De Khat' under the direction of Neeraj Kaushik will be performed by actors Aarushi and SP Singh. The Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee has strongly appealed to all pro-people organizations, scholars, writers and theatre artists to participate in this event.
