Hansi: Under the guidance of DC Rahul Narwal, a special program was organized at the Civil Hospital, Hansi, on Wednesday under the TB Eradication Mission. During the program, nutrition kits were distributed to adopted TB patients. The objective of the program was to provide better nutrition to TB patients and improve their health.
The program was attended by SMO Dr. Rahul Budhiraja and other health officials and staff. During this, nutrition kits were provided to a total of 130 patients. Keeping in mind the health needs of the patients and children, nutritious food items were included in the kits.
The nutrition kit distribution program received support from Kushal Saini, President of the Gau Abhyaran Sansthan, the Red Cross Society, and various social organizations. District Development and Panchayat Officer Sandeep Bhardwaj also assisted in the distribution of the kits.
District TB Officer Dr. Rajiv Dabla, TB Health Supervisor Sunil Kumar, Senior TB Supervisor Sushil Mor, and other staff members of the TB unit were present during the program. The officials provided detailed information to the patients about the causes, symptoms, prevention, and treatment of TB, and encouraged them to take regular medication and a balanced diet.
Health department officials stated that the participation of all sections of society is essential to make the TB eradication campaign successful. They appealed to the citizens to get tested immediately if symptoms of TB appear and not to discontinue treatment midway, so that the goal of a TB-free India can be achieved.
