Mandi Gobindgarh, April 2 - Desh Bhagat University Nursing Faculty in collaboration with School of Pharmacy celebrated World TB Day at Community Health Center at Chanarthal Kalan, Fatehgarh Sahib. The theme of this year's event was "Yes! We Can End TB."
Students of BSc Nursing 5th semester, BSc Nursing 4th year and School of Pharmacy participated in the activity to create awareness about tuberculosis in the society. It highlighted the symptoms of TB, its treatment options and prevention measures. After this, the students also took out a rally to spread awareness about tuberculosis and its prevention. It was emphasized that TB can be treated with antibiotics but can be fatal if left untreated.
The event was moderated by Gurvinder Kaur and Surbhi Sharma, in which Dr. Lavasampuranjot Kaur (HOD, Mental Health Nursing) and Dr. Prabhjot Singh (HOD, Community Health Nursing), SMO of CHC Chanarthal Kalan Dr. Surinder Singh spoke about TB and its prevention.
