Haroli/Una, June 5 (Rajveer Chopra): The newly elected councilors of Nagar Panchayat Tahliwal were administered the oath of office during a simple yet dignified ceremony held on Friday. SDM Vishal Sharma administered the oath of office and secrecy to all the elected members.
Taking the oath under Section 27(1) of the Himachal Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1994, the councilors pledged to bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution of India and to discharge their duties with honesty, impartiality, and dedication.
Those who took the oath included Sanjeev Kumar (Ward No. 1), Dimple (Ward No. 3), Raj Kumar Malli (Ward No. 4), Neelam Kumari (Ward No. 5), Ajay Kumar (Ward No. 6), and Anu (Ward No. 7).
On this occasion, all the newly elected councilors assured that they would work with complete dedication and integrity towards the development of the Nagar Panchayat area, sanitation, the expansion of basic amenities, and the resolution of public grievances.
Dignitaries and local citizens present at the ceremony extended their best wishes to the newly elected representatives and expressed the hope that they would work effectively in the public interest.
