Chandigarh, July 14:- The Haryana government has taken another big step towards expanding health services and women empowerment in the rural areas of the state. The government has given formal approval to open a new Government Nursing College in Dongra Ahir village of Mahendragarh district and soon the next departmental action will be started to take this project to the ground level.
Giving information in this regard, Haryana Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao said that the villagers of Dongra Ahir and the surrounding area had been demanding the opening of a nursing college here for a long time. Giving priority to this very urgent and legitimate demand of the villagers, the government has immediately approved it.
He said that the opening of this college will directly benefit not only the daughters of Dongra Ahir but also dozens of villages of Mahendragarh district. Now young girls from rural areas will not have to wander far from their homes to big cities to study a respectable and professional course like nursing and they will be able to get higher education by staying in their area. The Health Minister further said that with the start of this institute, new doors of employment and self-reliance in the field of health services will open for the girls of the area, due to which they will be able to become economically and socially strong. Along with this, the establishment of this college will also strengthen the medical infrastructure of the entire area and in the coming time the local people will be able to get better health facilities. The department has been instructed to complete the next process in this regard as soon as possible.
