Una, January 13: A major boost has been given to the industrial development of Una district. The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) of the Central Government has approved the establishment of an MSME Technology Center in the Pandoga industrial area of ??Haroli assembly constituency. This technology center will be established in the Community Center building in Pandoga at a cost of approximately Rs. 10 crore. Approval has also been granted for the establishment of a technology center in Parwanoo.
**Technology Centers will Strengthen Industries in the State: Deputy Chief Minister**
Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said that the approval of MSME Technology Centers is very important from the point of view of strengthening industries in Himachal Pradesh.
He informed that the Central MSME Ministry has issued an office memorandum regarding the establishment of 13 new Technology Center-Extension Centers across the country, which includes Pandoga and Parwanoo.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that the establishment of these technology centers will give a new direction to industrial development in the state. This will provide modern technical support to industries, encourage industrial investment, and create new employment opportunities.
He said that these centers will provide better opportunities for skill training, startups, and self-employment to the youth, and will also strengthen the quality and competitive capacity of MSME units.
The Deputy Chief Minister informed that both the Pandoga and Parwanoo Technology Centers will be operated and guided under the MSME Technology Center Ludhiana, which will ensure the quality of training and services.
**Many Facilities Including Quality Testing, AI Lab and Technical Guidance will be Available: Joint Director Industries**
Meanwhile, the Joint Director of Industries, Una, Anshul Dhiman, said that with the establishment of technology centers, industries will have access to many facilities including quality testing, designing, modern machinery, and technical guidance. He said that the center will also provide assistance in tool and die making and repair, and product development. In addition, modern facilities such as CAD-CAM and Artificial Intelligence (AI) labs will also be developed here.
Modern technical services and training will be provided here according to the needs of local industries. Under this initiative, MSME units will have access to modern technology, and young people will benefit from training through online and virtual platforms. The center will also provide consultancy services related to product and process design, promote entrepreneurship development, and encourage innovation-based activities.
