Karnal, November 26: Haryana witnessed a historic day when Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the state and conveyed his deep faith in the Guru tradition and Indian culture. By participating in state-level events organized to mark the 350th martyrdom anniversary of the ninth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, and the Gita Jayanti, the Prime Minister won the hearts of the Sikh community throughout Haryana and the country.
Describing Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji as the soul of Indian civilization, Prime Minister Modi said that Sikhs and Hindus cannot be separated; their relationship is as inseparable as flesh and nails. His address moved the millions of people present at the event.
**Grand event in Kurukshetra**
Upon reaching Kurukshetra, the Prime Minister participated in the Maha Aarti at Brahma Sarovar and inaugurated the Panchajanya Shankh Memorial. He then inaugurated the Jyotisar Experience Center and visited a modern exhibition showcasing divine experiences related to the Mahabharata. The Prime Minister also thoroughly visited the Mahabharata Anubhav exhibition.
Release of a postage stamp and commemorative coin dedicated to Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji:
On the occasion of Martyrdom Day, Prime Minister Modi released a special postage stamp and a commemorative coin in memory of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. He then proceeded to the main gathering, where the Guru Granth Sahib was installed two and a half feet above the stage.
Prime Minister Modi sat on the ground and bowed down—this image of him being the most inspiring and humble aspect of the entire event. The Shabad Kirtan performed by 350 girls from Patiala filled the atmosphere with spirituality. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and the Governor were also present with the Prime Minister.
**Prime Minister impressed by Chief Minister Saini's work ethic**
Prime Minister Modi openly praised the grand and organized manner in which the Martyrdom Day was organized by the Haryana government. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini's coordination and hard work played a key role in making the event historic. The Prime Minister praised Saini's work ethic and patted him on the back.
**Daduwal's Contribution in Uniting the Sikh Community**
Jathedar Baljit Singh Daduwal, head of the HSGPC's Dharam Prachar Committee, played a key role in bringing the Sikh community closer to the central and state governments. He played a significant role in the design and implementation of the programs related to the Martyrdom Day.
Guru Prasad Singh, former senior executive member of the HSGPC, said that the respect with which Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister Manohar Lal, and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini have honored the Sikh Gurus is unprecedented. He said that this is the first time any government has celebrated Guru Prakash Parv and Martyrdom Day with such grandeur and at a government level.
