Hansi:- MLA Vinod Bhayana has sent a letter to the Railway Minister regarding the halts of trains and the expansion of railway services at Hansi Junction. While providing information on Wednesday, the MLA said that after the Haryana government declared Hansi as the state’s 23rd district, the expansion of rail facilities here has become extremely necessary. Hansi Junction, located in the Bikaner Division of North Western Railway, is an important railway station. Electrification work on the tracks in both directions at Hansi Junction has been completed, and under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, construction of the station’s new building is also in progress. Approximately 18 crore rupees are being spent on this development project.
He said that after becoming a district headquarters, the number of rail passengers from Hansi and surrounding areas has been continuously increasing. In such a scenario, ensuring halts for more trains is necessary in the public interest, which will provide convenience to passengers as well as increase railway revenue.
Demand for Halts of These Trains at Hansi Junction
MLA Vinod Bhayana stated that there has been a demand for halts of several trains at Hansi Junction. He mentioned that daily halts are demanded for the Gorakhpur–Bathinda and Bathinda–Gorakhpur trains; weekly halts for the Agartala–Firozpur and Firozpur–Agartala trains; three days a week halts for the Haridwar–Bikaner train; daily halts for the Jodhpur–Hisar Express; and weekly halts for the Sabarmati–Katra and Katra–Sabarmati trains.
Additionally, the MLA has demanded that the Jodhpur–Hisar Express be extended up to Bhiwani City using the available line over, so that passengers in the region can get direct and better rail connectivity.
MLA Vinod Bhayana expressed gratitude to the Railway Minister for making Hansi railway station a junction and expressed confidence that the Railway Ministry will take a positive decision on these long-pending demands of the people of Hansi and provide the district with a strong rail network.
