Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, July 4:- As part of the series of public meeting programs being organized under the Mohali assembly constituency, MLA Kulwant Singh today visited villages Raipur Khurd and Sukhgarh and interacted with the people face to face. During this, he listened to the problems of the villagers and directed the concerned officials to take appropriate action.
On this occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said that the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is committed to providing transparent, accountable and people-centric administration to the people. He said that the benefits of the pro-people schemes launched by the government in the fields of electricity, health, education, employment and social welfare are reaching every section of the state.
He said that the government has fulfilled the promises made to the people by the Aam Aadmi Party during the assembly elections to a large extent and going forward, the all-round development of Punjab is being taken forward at a faster pace.
The MLA said that after the formation of the government, free electricity facility up to 600 units was implemented, which is benefiting a large number of families. He said that in the health sector, free medical advice, tests and medicines are being provided to the people through Mohalla clinics and crores of people have benefited from these clinics.
He said that free treatment up to Rs. 10 lakh is being provided under the Chief Minister's Health Insurance Scheme, due to which lakhs of families are getting security. In the education sector, special efforts have also been made to strengthen the infrastructure of government schools, build new rooms and provide necessary staff.
Talking about the issue of employment, he said that the Punjab government has so far given permanent government jobs to thousands of youth and the process of regularizing the raw employees is also ongoing.
Giving information about the development works, MLA Kulwant Singh said that Rs. 2 lakh has been released under the Rangla Punjab scheme for the upliftment of village Sukhgarh. Apart from this, Rs 5 lakh for General Dharamshala and Rs 4 lakh for laying pavers on the Phirni will be released soon under Rangla Punjab-3 scheme.
He said that Rs 4 lakh has been released for Anganwadi center under Rangla Punjab-2 scheme in village Raipur Khurd. Apart from this, another Rs 4 lakh for Anganwadi center under Rangla Punjab-3 and Rs 5 lakh for Panchayat house will also be released soon.
Sarpanch Kulvir Kaur, Balkar Singh, Senior Deputy Mayor Kuldeep Singh Samana, Deputy Mayor Rajinder Prasad Sharma, Harpal Singh Channa along with other dignitaries and a large number of villagers were present on the occasion.
