Ratia, February 8: A delegation from the Senior Citizen Welfare Association Trust, Ratia, met with MLA Jarnail Singh at his residence today and submitted a memorandum seeking his support for the construction of a "Senior Citizens' Home." Considering this a very noble cause for senior citizens, MLA Jarnail Singh announced a grant of Rs. 20 lakh from his MLA fund. All the members expressed their gratitude to the MLA with applause.
Following this announcement, senior member Tejinder Singh Aujla said that the boundary wall of the 30-marla plot located in Ward No. 12 of the city has been completed, and approximately one hundred trees and plants have also been planted there. The proposed Senior Citizens' Home will include residential rooms, a kitchen, a library, a dispensary, a prayer room, toilets, and an attractive park.
Present on the occasion were President Advocate Bikkar Singh, Dr. Naresh Goyal, retired DSP Satpal Singh, Gagan Swaroop Mangla, Shishan Pal Mangla, Master Gopal Chand Kulrian, Gurnam Singh Teliwara, Ishwar Das Arora, and Tejinder Singh Aujla.
