Hansi: – Haryana’s Public Works and Public Health Engineering Minister, Ranbir Singh Gangwa, stated that the meeting between Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and the protest committee regarding the drinking water issue in Chanaut village concluded in a positive and cordial atmosphere. Various issues, including the village's drinking water problem and other development-related matters, were discussed in detail during the meeting. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced that adequate clean drinking water would be provided to Chanaut village by laying a dedicated pipeline from the Bhakra Canal.
Cabinet Minister Ranbir Gangwa mentioned that Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini listened to the villagers' concerns seriously during the meeting and expressed full commitment to resolving them.
Cabinet Minister Ranbir Gangwa was addressing a press conference at the local Public Works Department (PWD) rest house on Friday.
During the briefing, he shared that Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini took a major decision to announce a grant of ?1 crore for development works in Chanaut village. Furthermore, he issued on-the-spot instructions to the concerned officials to release the funds so that development activities in the village could gain momentum quickly. He added that other development works for the village would also be undertaken on a priority basis.
Cabinet Minister Ranbir Gangwa further stated that the Chief Minister assured the protest committee that no shortcomings would be allowed to hinder the development of Chanaut village.
A detailed discussion regarding a permanent solution to the drinking water problem also took place during the meeting. The Chief Minister clarified that the government's priority is to supply adequate and clean drinking water to Chanaut village from the Bhakra Canal. He noted that the protest committee was assured that work in this direction is proceeding rapidly and that a permanent solution to the village's drinking water issue would be ensured. The Cabinet Minister stated that it was clarified during the meeting that drawing water via T-connections from the pipeline being laid for Hansi city under the AMRUT-2 scheme is against the rules, as the scheme is designed to supply water exclusively to urban areas. Responding to questions from journalists, Cabinet Minister Ranbir Singh Gangwa mentioned that some individuals responsible for making illegal connections to the pipeline—which is being laid from the Bhakra Canal to Hansi city—have been identified, and strict action will be taken against the guilty in accordance with the law.
Cabinet Minister Ranbir Singh Gangwa appealed to the villagers not to be misled by anyone and to cooperate with the government and the administration. He emphasized that the government is working with full seriousness to resolve every issue faced by the village and to ensure its development.
On this occasion, MLA Vinod Bhayana, BJP District President Ashok Saini, former Chairman Satbir Verma, the MLA's political advisor Dinesh Bhutani, BJP District General Secretary Dharmveer Rateria, Mandal President Tanuj Khurana, and numerous other BJP office-bearers and workers were present.
