Hoshiarpur, September 15:- With the objective of providing better healthcare facilities to people close to their homes, a special medical camp was organised at the Community Health Centre (CHC) Binewal. The camp was organised under the directions of Civil Surgeon Dr. Mandeep Kamal and was led by SMO Dr. Nirmal Kumar.
Specialist doctors in eye care, orthopaedics, ENT, surgery, psychiatry and IQ counselling provided services at the camp. During the camp, 313 patients from the area were examined. The doctors assessed the health problems of the patients, provided them with the necessary medical advice and informed them about further investigations and treatment.
A large number of people attended the medical camp and benefited from the services of specialist doctors. During the camp, UDID cards were also prepared for 17 eligible beneficiaries.
SMO Dr. Nirmal Kumar said that the objective of organising such camps is to make specialist medical services available to people close to their homes, so that they do not have to travel to distant hospitals for minor or major health problems. He said that the Health Department would continue to organise such camps in the future as well to provide better healthcare facilities to the people.
