Chandigarh: Today, in the MC House meeting, the Mayor, showing complete dictatorship, tried to forcefully pass the resolution related to Manimajra land by ignoring 18 opposition councillors. It was a big revelation in the meeting that the Mayor is misleading the people by giving wrong information again and again.
First, 7 acres was told, then 12, after that 19 — and even today the Mayor is misleading the people by telling 29 acres, while the actual size of the land is 33 acres.
When the opposition councillors demanded to bring the truth to the fore by presenting documents and the actual size, the Mayor abused the democratic process and did not even allow voting to take place.
In an attempt to forcefully pass this issue, Aam Aadmi Party councillors were dragged out several times by marshals.
This proves that the BJP administration is preparing to benefit a particular group with the land of the people.
Aam Aadmi Party clearly says that without real measurement, transparency and public consent, the land of Manimajra will not be sold or handed over under any circumstances.
We stand with the people and will fight this fight from the street to the court.

“Making a decision by suppressing 18 councillors is the murder of democracy. The BJP dictatorship will fail and the people’s land will not be allowed to be looted.”
Due to heavy opposition and pressure from councillors, the mayor finally had to defer the Manimajra land agenda, which proves that truth and the power of the people are greater than dictatorship.
