Hoshiarpur: A record-breaking turnout of expatriate Punjabis at the first event organized by the Shiromani Akali Dal in Canada has stunned opposition parties. This signals that the formation of a strong Shiromani Akali Dal government in Punjab is inevitable. Dharminder Kumar Toni, State General Secretary of the party's Trade Wing—who was part of the visiting delegation—expressed his amazement at the sheer scale of the massive rally held in Surrey.
He extended heartfelt gratitude to the expatriate Punjabis; responding to a simple invitation, this huge gathering in Surrey demonstrated to the world that the next government in Punjab would be formed by the Shiromani Akali Dal. Thanking the community warmly, Toni promised to convey the full message of the day's gathering to Party President Sardar Sukhbir Singh Badal, adding that they would remain forever indebted for this affection. He noted that the rally organized here has given the opposition sleepless nights.
Toni stated that this is merely the beginning of a series of events. In the coming days, large-scale programs supported by NRI Punjabis will be held in various cities to show the opposition that NRIs will no longer fall for their misleading rhetoric. The diaspora has resolved to bring the Shiromani Akali Dal back to power in Punjab, as Punjabis do not favor governments run by "looters" controlled from Delhi.
Toni remarked that the promises made by these individuals during the elections vanished into thin air as soon as they took office, and that Arvind Kejriwal’s "gang of looters" has been plundering Punjab for the past four and a half years. Tony stated that there is no one to hold them accountable; it has become second nature for these Delhi-based leaders to take unlawful action against anyone who dares to ask questions. However, he asserted that NRI Punjabis would not repeat past mistakes; instead, they would ensure the formation of a Shiromani Akali Dal government in 2027, thereby according great respect to the NRI Punjabi community.
He framed this major event as a precursor to a Shiromani Akali Dal victory. Tony noted that this was merely the beginning of a series of programs; an even larger gathering would be organized next to demonstrate that expatriate Punjabis have firmly resolved to ensure the party's victory this time around.
