Haroli/Una, August 1 (Rajveer Chopra): The 'MP Mobile Health Service' (Sansad Mobile Swasthya Seva) in Haroli—operated under the guidance of former Union Minister and Hamirpur MP Anurag Singh Thakur and with the support of the Prayas Society—conducted health check-ups for 1,967 patients across rural areas during July. A total of 890 free laboratory tests were also performed during this period. Patients received free medical consultations, essential medicines, and vital health-related information.
During the various health camps organized in July, the medical team raised awareness about preventing monsoon-related illnesses. Villagers were advised to consume clean and boiled water, maintain hygiene in and around their homes, avoid water stagnation, adopt measures to protect against mosquitoes, and seek immediate medical advice if symptoms of fever, diarrhea, or other seasonal ailments appeared.
The MP Mobile Health Service team also visited the homes of bedridden patients to provide health check-ups and treatment. This enabled patients with limited mobility to access healthcare services right at their doorsteps.
As part of this ongoing initiative, a free health camp was organized on Saturday in Baliwal village (Gram Panchayat Baliwal), where 68 patients were examined and 29 free lab tests were conducted. Dr. Pradeep Kumar, Ruchi, and Nihal Singh provided their services at the camp. ASHA workers and Anganwadi workers also played a crucial role in the successful organization of the event.
Local villagers praised the MP Mobile Health Service, noting that the initiative is effectively delivering free, high-quality healthcare to villages while simultaneously raising health awareness among the public.
